About Stephen Haskew, Houston's Support Group Leader

Steve and his wife, Eleanor, have two daughters who are now out on their own. Eleanor works with "at risk" junior high students and Steve is the General Manager at a Gulf Coast shipyard serving the offshore drilling industry. In their spare time, they both volunteer with non-profit community groups including breast cancer screening, SPCA, city parks and homeowners association.

They enjoy traveling to the Western United States and distance bicycle riding. Steve likes to fish every chance he can.

Steve as had AS for 30 years. He had symptoms at 29, was diagnosed at 39 and is now 59. He is an advocate of being as active as you can be, working out, maintaining a positive attitude and never giving up.
