Speaker: Jeanette Strauss, RN
Ms. Strauss has had extensive experience in Medical / Surgical, Maternal Child and Public Health nursing. Teaching has been a big part of her nursing career. She has a passion for helping people learn how to be their own advocate. She has taught a class on Advocacy at Lone Star College in the ALL program.

Topic: Be Your Own Patient Advocate: Being proactive in managing your health care.




About Wilson McCoy, The Woodland's Support Group Leader

Wilson and his wife Gail have been married for 39 years and have lived in The Woodlands, Texas for over 7 years. They have three children and five grandchildren and are members of The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

In his spare time, Wilson enjoys such hobbies as genealogy, coin and stamp collecting, and golf (when he feels up to it).

Professionally, Wilson is President of GISolutions, LLC, and is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas for over 37 years. He has served several organizations including the Montgomery County Municipal Utility District No. 46 as the Board of Directors Assistant Vice President, and is a Member of the Association of Water Board Directors - Texas. Wilson received his education from Texas A&M and the University of Houston.
