A study published in Clinical Rheumatology looked at factors contributing to disability in people with ankylosing spondylitis.
Older age at onset, longer time since the diagnosis, longer diagnosis delay, and some physical impairments like decrease in spinal mobility seemed to correlate with increased work-disability.
