A study published in the journal Arthritis and Rheumatism assessed "assess the diagnostic utility of MRI to differentiate spondyloarthritis (SpA) patients from patients with non-specific back pain (NSBP)."
Studies regarding MRI as a diagnostic tool for spondylitis have become more and more common in recent years.
The authors of the study found that, "MRI has much greater diagnostic utility than documented previously."
